One of the bigger and more exciting races today is the Holy Bull Stakes (TDN)

Shadwell Stable’s undefeated Mohaymen (Tapit) and St Elias Stable, MeB Racing Stables and Brooklyn Boyz Stables’ GISW Greenpointcrusader (Bernardini) headline a short, but competitive field in Saturday’s GII Holy Bull S. at Gulfstream. A debut winner sprinting at Belmont Sept. 19, Mohaymen made light work of Aqueduct’s one-mile GII Nashua S. Nov. 4. The Kiaran McLaughlin trainee handled his two turn test with aplomb when stretching out to nine furlongs for the Big A’s GII Remsen S. last time Nov. 28 and enters off a five-panel bullet in :59 2/5 at Palm Meadows Jan. 21.

Klaravich Stables and William Lawrence’s GIII Jerome S. winner Flexibility looks to make it two in a row Saturday in Aqueduct’s GIII Withers S. Besting a field of fellow New York-breds in his Belmont unveiling Oct. 10, the Chad Brown pupil finished second behind undefeated GII Holy Bull S. contender Mohaymen (Tapit) in both the Big A’s GII Nashua S. Nov. 4 and GII Remsen S. Nov. 28. With that rival having moved on to Florida, Flexibility got his turn to shine next out with a decisive victory in the Jerome Jan. 2.

Withers

I dont think the Withers is getting much attention for this weekend due to the Holy Bull. Flexibility is the main attraction. Very nice run-down here...

Don’t look for any longshots in the Withers. This race is all about Flexibility and Sunny Ridge. The pace sets up perfectly for the two of them. Flexibility will be stalking the pace and will get first jump turning into the stretch. Sunny Ridge will be closing at the end, but will have to settle for second on this day.

Conquest Stables’ Conquest Big E (Tapit) prepped for Saturday’s GII Holy Bull S. with an easy half-mile breeze Sunday at Palm Meadows. Working in company with graded stakes winner Kaigun (Northern Afleet), the Mark Casse trainee went four furlongs in :49.00. (TDN Page 1)

Matched with "old pro" Kaigun in Sunday morning's workout, Conquest Big E looked as if he was galloping, whereas the multiple graded stakes winner took some extra effort to keep up.

That was trainer Mark Casse's observation of the Kentucky Derby prospect after the gray moved four furlongs in 49 seconds, marking his final work ahead of the upcoming Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Park. (Conquest Big E Out-paces)
