Barbara Fritchie Stakes ($300,000) Laurel

Strong field awaits Hot City Girl in the Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie The graded stakes-winning daughter of City Zip has gone on to more than hold up her end of the bargain sale, earning more than $500,000 in purses and Grade 1 stakes-placed credentials, but she has nevertheless raced in the shadow of her older multiple Grade 1 stakes-winning sibling with earnings of more than $1.5 million. Hot City Girl and Lady Sabelia will be the top choices in the $300,000 Barbara Fritchie at Laurel Park on Saturday, and they appear to have the sharpest early speed. While the seven-furlong Fritchie isn't a match race, it certainly could be decided on the front end. Full Story at ESPN

Sam Davis Stakes ($250,000) Tampa
With Whatawonderflworld on a roll, trainer Mark Casse will keep his foot on the proverbial pedal today as he starts the rising gelding in the Grade III $250,000 Sam F. Davis Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs.

El Camino Derby ($200,000) Golden Gate ~Kentucky Derby Qualifier~ Frank Conversation heads a full field of 14 for the 35th edition of the Grade 3, $200,000 El Camino Real DerbyThe 1 1/8-mile El Camino Real Derby for 3-year-olds will be contested at 1 1/8 miles Saturday atGolden Gate Fields. The El Camino is part of the “Road to the Kentucky Derby” series and is worth 10 points to the winner, 4 points to second, 2 to third and 1 to fourth. All runners carry 122 pounds. Golden Gate Fields holds one race which awards qualifying points for Kentucky Derby 142, the El Camino Real Derby (GIII) scheduled for this Saturday at the distance of nine furlongs. The field will compete on Tapeta, one of the remaining synthetic surfaces, and features a promising runner who began his career in Europe named Kasseopia. - See more
